A circa 1942 Girard-Perregaux reference 22209 chronograph watch in steel. Powered by a Universal Geneve caliber 281 triple register chronogrpah movement made for Girard perregaux.
The round case measures 34mm in diameter, housing a detailed dial with multiple sub-dials for chronograph functionality. The dial is finished in multi toned silver with an outer mirrored track and radium filled numerals. In excellent original condition, the dial retains a beautiful light patina and is in its original, never restored state.
The screw back steel case is robust, reflecting the durability and timeless design of the 1940s. The case is in excellent original unrestored condition, and does not appear to have been previously polished. This watch is a testament to Girard-Perregaux's legacy in horology and is in excellent working order. Fitted to a new black leather strap.
